The flowers are used as seasoning in salads and the leaves in meat dishes, sauces, etc. It has antiseptic, antispasmodic and diuretic properties. Because of its strong aroma, it is used in essences and to perfume the air. CULTIVATION: prefers light soils in a sunny position.
