Perennial plant. 30 - 80cm high. Creased, sessile and round leaves, arranged in opposing pairs. Plant covered with white hair, soft to the touch. White or pink flowers, in whorls, growing out of leaf axils. Spreads rhizomes. The plant is mint and apple scented. Used to flavour dishes and in infusions. Medical properties: tonic, antispasmodic, eupeptic.
