(Arachis hypogaea)
Annual cycle, 30-50 cm. Stems are ramified up from the basis. Yellow flowers in leaf axils. After fecundation a pedicel grows and pushes the ovary into the ground. Pods, containing 3-4 seeds, are buried down to 3-10 cm depth.
