Plant with a bi-annual cycle, 50 to 75 cm high when flowering. It is cultivated for its very aromatic seeds, which are harvested in the second year. Its leaves and even its roots, harvested in the first year, are also edible. It is a very rustic plant, which grows easily and withstands the cold well.
